The Office of Programming and Promotions’ mission is to make Natchitoches a more vibrant and creative city in which to live, work and play. The Office of Programming and Promotions helps to produce high-quality special events, festivals and programming that stimulate the community economically and culturally; celebrate Natchitoches’ rich, diverse heritage while enhancing the quality of life and sense of community for all residents; forge partnerships that make Natchitoches a premier visitor destination and generate positive local, national and international publicity about Natchitoches.

Keep Natchitoches Beautiful
The Office of Programming and Promotions also oversees Keep Natchitoches Beautiful, an affiliate of Keep Louisiana Beautiful and Keep America Beautiful.
Programs implemented through Keep Natchitoches Beautiful include Yard of the Month, Adopt a Road/Adopt a Spot, Earth Day and Arbor Day.
Keep Natchitoches Beautiful also sponsors “Keep Natchitoches Beautiful Month” each April. Activities include educational presentations in local schools and a citywide cleanup known as the “Great American Cleanup.” For more information on the 2011 celebration, click here.
