Clean-up Day at Los Adaes
Clean-up Day at Los Adaes
CRNHA is looking for volunteers to help clean up the trail and visitor area at Los Adaes State Historic Site. “The natural and historic landscape loses its luster when litter builds up on it, but with the community’s help we can return the area to its pristine state,” remarked Heritage Ranger Michael Mumaugh. CRNHA will provide volunteers with protective gloves and trash bags to collect litter from the grounds. Volunteers are asked to wear closed toe shoes, long pants, and long sleeve shirts. Refreshments and volunteer t-shirts (while supplies last) will be provided to those who attend.
“If interested, volunteers are asked to register by Thursday, February 22, 2018 so we can ensure that we have enough supplies. However, we will not turn anyone away that shows up on Saturday,” remarked Mumaugh. Volunteers can register by phone at 318-356-5555 or by email to MMumaugh@CaneRiverNHA.org. Los Adaes is located just off Highway 6 near Robeline at 6354 Highway 485.
